The second Cosmic Boogie release supplied by none other than Ashley Beedle hit all the good record shops at the weekend ans is steadily climbing up the charts.

I was lucky enough to do a mix for Cool in the Pool and an interview a few weeks ago, and, as Its been up for a little while I thought I would link to it from here. The mix was a more uptempo affair than usual, on purpouse. I try to play as many different things as i can (as many different things as I like), however, don’t expect a genre mish-mash of everything going – just the usual groove based affair.

I have decided to try out some of the other DJ systems besides Serato, just to see what’s what – and get a feel for what I like more. When I bought Serato a few years ago, I was told at the time that Traktor Pro was unstable and not the one to go for. Now, however, it seems things have changed. I bought myself a USB soundcard and a copy of the Traktor Pro software, and am going to give it a go and see what it gives me over Serato

Good things happen through music. Its a fact. A few weeks back (in fact a month ago now) I played at the rather amazing Beat Herder festival in darkest Lancashire. It didnt rain the whole day, until about 20 minutes before my set, and then it absolutely bollocked down. Whilst trying to take refuge on the stage, Id been listening to the three DJ’s who were on before me play a wierd and wonderful mix of absolutely everything, inclsuing, smatterings of disco.
